About Luan A. Monteiro

Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine from Universidade Paulista (UNIP). He is currently a master's student in the Bioproducts and Bioprocesses program at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP/ Baixada Santista). During his undergraduate studies, he developed scientific initiation projects in the area of neurosciences with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases, especially in vivo models of Parkinson's Disease, under a FAPESP grant. Is currently studying the characterization and neuroprotective effects of new potential drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease using in silico and in vitro models. Has knowledge of diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Has skills in immunology, biochemistry, immunohistochemistry, cell differentiation, bioinformatics and animal behavior.
