In this first stage of my career, I accumulated solid engineering skills in coding and design. Design and implemented a parallel data mining algorithm using Google's Mapreduce infrastructure. Part of my work was published in a conference paper of WWW2009 (http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1526801)
