There’s a long, detailed description of the president’s role in the UPV Chamber bylaws; but a simplified version is that it’s my responsibility to work with the board, staff, and members to demonstrate the value of membership through mission-driven leadership: In other words, it’s my job to identify resources to meet priority goals for the UPVCC and PerkUp strategic plans for our community.After more than 20 years, I still believe that our greatest opportunities depend on partnerships so we focus on building relationships with community and business leaders. This challenging job has limited resources but it’s made easier by the natural beauty, rich history and people who love this area.
