Part of the AmTrust Financial Services group, ANA of Florida is the company’s workers compensation insurance carrier for Florida. Working with offices in Atlanta and Cleveland, I led a technical team of 12 professionals including network administration, application and web development, help-desk support for local and remote users, operational processes and national telecommunications. Based on corporate standards, I led the regional initiative to convert business and reporting applications to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

After being acquired by AmTrust in 2007, I led the project of data conversion and validation from the AIIS system into the AmTrust Progress database while the MS Studio applications were being constructed. In my role as Programming Manager, I hired and retained a staff of six developers with a median retention age of 14 years. I gathered business requirements from department managers and translated the specifications to my development team. Having a thorough understanding of the custom software from a technical and business perspective I had the unique ability to respond immediately to managers of any procedural or resource concerns and to write up the technical and user documentation. Additionally I was responsible for system upgrades and an SQL conversion of over 700 files.
