At Stantec, Ms. Meyer progressed as a staff environmental scientist to the manager of the Phase I Environmental Assessments group. In 2011, Ms. Meyer joined B&L as a Project Manager in their growing Rochester, NY office. Ms. Meyer has experience with environmental projects, which includes environmental site assessments, environmental impact statements, permitting solid waste management facilities, groundwater monitoring and reporting for solid waste management facilities, and Phase II soil and groundwater investigations. In 2017, Ms. Meyer joined Monroe County as their Solid Waste Administrator. In this role she managed the contractors that operate and maintain the County's landfill, transfer station, and recycling center. She also oversaw the management of the County's leaf compost facilities and education and outreach program. Ms. Meyer returned to B&L in July 2020. Ms. Meyer often says there is never a dull moment in the solid waste and recycling! Additionally, Ms. Meyer is the Vice Chair for the NY Federation of Solid Waste and Recycling Annual Conference and is the current President of the New York Chapter of SWANA (Solid Waste Association of North America). Instrumental in completing the supplemental draft and final environmental impact statements and coordinated the preparation of the design report and drawings. The issues that were addressed included filling a wetland, impacts on storm water, sewer use, traffic, odors, visual resources, vectors and noise.*Assisted Waste Management, Inc. with the permit application for an expansion to their landfill gas to energy (LFGE) plant. The *Compiled quarterly groundwater analytical data, analyzed results and completed quarterly monitoring reports for a closed municipal solid waste landfill in Western New York.*Project Manager for various Phase I Environmental Site Assessment projects throughout New York State, which has included training and supervising several professionals to complete various types of Phase I ESAs. As a project manager, I have also been responsible for proposal preparation, project setup, accounting and invoicing of projects.*Completed over 100 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for various sites throughout Western New York, including residential properties (i.e., dwellings, apartment complexes/buildings) and commercial properties (i.e., gasoline stations, dry cleaners, retail complexes, marinas, farms, former orchards, golf course, tool and die facilities). *Phase II Subsurface investigations involving Geoprobe sampling techniques at multiple commercial and industrial properties in Western New York.*Collected and compiled analytical data for various commercial and industrial sites throughout Western New York, including Brownfield Sites.*Soil sampling, groundwater sampling, water level monitoring, and air monitoring activities related to subsurface contamination at a brownfield site in Rochester, New York. -
