-Promotional management of specific categories, responsible for growth, profitability and sales.-Evaluate and approve new products, rationalize existing mix, develop promotional strategies execute marketing plans.-Negotiate, monitor and reconcile, vendor spend agreements.-Monitor results of categories via point of sale data, vendor business reviews and AC Neilson.-Monitoring the cosmetic industry, consumer and fashion trends, by attending trade shows and conferences also all other media outlets such as T.V. newsprint, magazine, and Web sites. Communicate this information via Memo and booking opportunities to the regional offices and stores. -Work with assistant Category Manager to develop planagrams for categories responsible for, update as needed on a regular basis.-General supervision and monitoring of assistant Category manager while empowering and instilling enthusiasm to achieve mutual corporate goals.
