Growing up alongside ever-changing technology has shaped the way I view things. It was not only about using technology because they work, but understanding how and why they work, and the ways they have improved over the years.I have always wanted to learn how to utilize new technologies and put them to the test. I started by creating a website, a small feat that dipped my toes into software development. From there, I learnt about the persistence and ingenuity needed to build even the smallest things, and it fuelled my spark to learn more and build more.Having done multiple projects in team environments, I've learned that the best approach to the 'big problem' is to just break it down to subtasks and learn how to build each of them as I go!Wanting to build a website, I learnt HTML and CSS as foundational building blocks to start off. Having started my degree, I branched off into Java, Python and C++ before visiting Javascript. After building small websites with JS, I learned how to utilize Node, and build with frameworks like Angular and React.But I also wanted to host this website and learn how to store small amounts of data! This got me into learning about database solutions like Mongo and PostgreSQL, writing and running code off a linux environment, containerizing my projects with Docker and ultimately simplifying the deployment process with Docker-Compose. And with that, my portfolio and project websites sprung to life!The list keeps growing as I learn new languages as well as honing current knowledge!
