Luc Keuleneer obtained the degree of Master in Business Engineering (KULeuven, 1981) and a Master of Business Administration (University of Chicago Booth, 1983). He took complementary courses in strategic finance and risk management at IMD, Lausanne, and at the Swiss Finance Institute.He worked as advisor financial institutions and state owned enterprises for the Federal Finance Minister. Currently he lectures as Professor Financial Management at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VUA), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven), and as a visiting professor at Ghent University, Universiteit Hasselt, Antwerp Management School, University Maastricht and Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is secretary general of the Belgian Association of Financial Analysts. Four times, he was elected ‘Best lecturer’ in the International Executive Master in Finance and Control, of the University of Maastricht. As a research associate at the Institute of Management Development (IMD) Lausanne, he obtained the 2010 ECCH European Case Award in finance, accounting and control with the case ‘Deal Making in troubled waters: the ABN AMRO takeover’.
