Self-employed since 2018.International organization, human rights, activism and development.Freelance mentoring.Over 30 years of experience in humanitarian affairs and international development with the United Nations. Started international career as a volunteer development worker in Djibouti. Joined the United Nations in 1987 and was mainly involved in humanitarian programmes and emergency management with the UN Refugee Agency. Worked with UNHCR from 1987 to 2007 in Sudan, Iran, Tanzania, Ghana and at UNHCR Headquarters. Served for 5 years as UN Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP/UNFPA Resident Representative in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Thailand from July 2012 to July 2017.
