I lead the programme on Sustainable Lifestyles at the Hot or Cool Institute, investigating the impacts of individual and systems change for transitioning to more sustainable societies, and pushing political agenda for climate change mitigation and halting biodiversity loss. Previously I was a Marie-Curie researcher at Trinity College Dublin and the European Environment Agency and a fellow of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). Focal points of my work is activating policymakers and other actors for enabling sustainable societies. I am contributing to theoretical and practical reforming of the economics discipline overcoming the growth paradigm. My research is at the interface between Science and Policy with a strong focus on investigating the links among policies, business, consumption behaviour and environmental impacts, considering social aspects such as inequality, and social and economic stability. I have direct experience in EU and global environmental policies, in international markets of natural resources, and in the management of EU funded projects.
