We capture arbitrage opportunities and act as a market maker on public and private venues. Inherent to our name “Hopscotch”, we hop around different assets and markets to achieve our conversion.

Team CASA is a student initiative from Eindhoven University of Technology. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition by bringing together the right partners from the academic and business world to integrate and innovate in the construction environment. We will set a new, higher standard for all homes regarding sustainability, health and costs that can be achieved with technologies available today. In the first two years of my Bachelor Programme, I followed the energy specialisation track offered by the Mechanical Engineering Department. This track consists of a series of subjects deepening knowledge on fluid mechanics. Working on Team Casa’s heating/cooling and ventilation systems gave me the perfect opportunity to put into practice knowledge acquired from the courses on Transport Phenomena and Thermodynamics.

Being part of the External Affairs subteam, I mainly dealt with tasks regarding the public image and communication dimension of the team. These tasks involved general promotion, such as representing Team CASA on energy and built environment fairs and university events, and social media, such as managing the various social media platforms and perform data analysis to increase visibility.

BRL is an internationally-oriented partnership of attorneys, auditors and tax consultants which provides cross-border solutions for various tasks. As an intern, I gained insight on corporate law by accompanying lawyers to court cases and assisting the contract draft process. Furthermore, I gained insight on financial transactions and technical dimensions by participating in Merger & Acquisition consulting meetings.

Hamburg Area, Germany

GeoCollect GmbH is a geothermal energy company specialized in near-surface systems. During this internship, I acquired skills of three different dimensions. First, I worked in Rudersberg, Stuttgart where the company's factory is located. Here, I gained insight on the technical and financial aspects of the geothermal energy system itself by closely following the engineers during the application process for EU subsidies. Besides that, I helped with activities such as inventory making, storage and loading of material. Secondly, during my time in Chemnitz, I closely collaborated with the marketing and sales manager of the company. We promoted the GeoCollect Absorber system at technical fairs and company visits across the country. Additionally, we carried out construction site supervision and played an active role in laying out the system in the ground and welding the connections. Finally, I worked in the headquarter office in Hamburg. Here, I mainly gained insights on the administrative aspect of running such a company.
