I also traveled with the team to the Syracuse, NY interstate 81 renovation site."This project focuses on major urban transportation infrastructure, its decommissioning at the endof its life, and its redesign to better support communities, especially those who may have beennegatively affected in the past. The focus is on the city of Syracuse, NY, where Interstate 81 is tobe rerouted around the periphery of the city on the existing bypass Interstate 481, and replacedby a “business loop” with street travel at grade level and at-grade intersections. The project is anexample of "urban freeway decommissioning", which has become popular in a number of U.S.cities as leaders realize that they would rather have higher quality of community life than anexpressway."

Spiel (Tsai CITY’s Accelerator Awardee at Yale University) was the first interactive review app for friends to share & store recommendations on anything. As a member of the founding team, I participated in the design, development, and launch of an iOS mobile app. Additionally, I was responsible for managing Spiel’s product and engineering functions, IT logistics, and UI/UX design. Unfortunately, Spiel ran into some financial struggles in Spring 2024, and was forced to put the project on pause. - Launched an iOS app that received 2,500 downloads in the first 60 days - Managed a team of 10+ people in a fast-paced, startup environment - Served as product manager for the software development team - Used Figma to design app screens and oversee UI/UX design
