This position revolves around the implementation of test procedures to characterize of a novel MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical System) sensor element. This involves setting up electrical measurements and analyzing the data; Improving existing control and data analyses software using Python and C/C++; and the design of mechanical housings for high voltage printed circuit boards to meet company safety standards.

This position involved the design and implementation of mechanical design, electrical design, and programing skills to design a flight payload that incorporates required sensors and data processing equipment for Memorial Universities Intelligent Systems Laboratory. The position is funded by the Undergraduate Student Research Award provided by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
