Trained in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Anesthesiology, Clinical Ultrasound, Health Informatics, Innovation Development, as from May 2019 I hold office as EM Senior Consultant at the King Fahad Specialist Hospital of Dammam, in Saudi Arabia, where I am also digital transformation and health innovation advisor for the E1 Health Cluster - Eastern Province (https://www.kfsh.med.sa/KFSH_Website/). Till November 2018, I have been holding office for two years, as EM Senior Consultant in the Emergency Department of Lugano Regional Hospital, in Switzerland (http://www.eoc.ch/Ospedali-e-Istituti/Ospedale-Regionale-di-Lugano.html). Till Aug 2018, I have been working for a dozen of years as Consultant in the EM, CCM and Anesthetics services of one of the largest European hospitals, ASST Niguarda Ca’ Granda Hospital (www.ospedaleniguarda.it/EN) and in the advanced prehospital units of its affiliated public HEMS & EMS, “Azienda Regionale di Emergenza e Urgenza” (www.areu.lombardia.it) in Milan, Italy.Beyond extensive clinical experience and expertise, I also directed several innovative education and research programs in emergency and critical care, ultrasound, health informatics, digital health transformation, and human development, throughout dozens of countries, in the five continents, including resource-scarce scenarios. As WINFOCUS - World Interactive Network Focused On Critical UltraSound (www.winfocus.org) Global Education Director, Global eHealth Chair, Past President and Co-Founder, I carry on the International development of point-of-care ultrasound and digital health, by traveling, teaching, lecturing and networking throughout a wide range of countries every year, committed to enhancing access to and the sustainability of quality healthcare worldwide. In this framework, in December 2007, I was awarded the title of Visiting Professor at the “Iuliu Hatieganu University”, in Cluj Napoca (Romania).
