I am an Italian software engineer with a Ph.D. in computer science and a solid experience in embedded devices. I like to drink coffee and prepare homemade pizza. At ETH Zurich, I teach an introductory course on Programming Nao Robots. I also collaborate with Luxottica, Intel, Qualcomm, Meta, and other top companies to break the routine and develop innovative, intelligent algorithms for low-power wearables.My research goal is to develop autonomous algorithms that replace practitioners with tedious and repetitive habits. The challenge is to feed deep learning algorithms with open records to move from intuitions to an intelligent-based development process. To broaden my research in software engineering, I now aim to move deep learning from the cloud to a constrained setting (low-power, lightweight, small-size) to create a better user experience with customized models.
