I am a Professor of Transport Policies, Sustainability Science and Road Safety at Civil, Constructional, and Environmental Engineering Department (DICEA), Sapienza, University of Rome and the Chairman of the Sapienza University Start-up Company CTL-up.I have been studying transport systems for twenty-five years, with a specific focus on urban transport systems and road safety. I have conducted various research activities, combining them with practical applications in strategic projects.I have joined in National and International research projects (European Commission, World Bank, OECD, UNECA), in many as a coordinator role. Moreover, I have carried out feasibility studies, as well as mobility, road safety and ITS plans.I am a member of relevant international Research Networks, some of them on behalf of Italy and with coordination roles: ECTRI (European Conference of Transport Research Institutes), FERSI (Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes), IRTAD (International Traffic Safety Data and Analysis Group, OECD - International Transport Forum), ETSC (European Transport Safety Council).
