I lead the WeinHaus, a charming boutique wine store based in Zurich. WeinHaus - your trusted wine merchant. We purchase all our products directly from the vineyards. We are always on a quest for new gems. Let us immerse ourselves in the hidden pearls of famous wine regions as well as lesser-known areas or grape varieties. Several times a year, we host theme-based tastings. At the same time, we have a carefully stocked online shop and one can also stop by our unique store in an old garage (by appointment). I deeply believe in the uniqueness of the university and college landscape in Switzerland and therefore I act as board member for the "Stiftung zur Förderung des Standorts Rapperswil-Jona der OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule". We are a foundation which tries to promote the city of Rapperswil-Jona and Eastern Switzerland as a region of academic excellence and entrepreneurship. Among others, the foundation provides student housing, or supports study programs and events for the public.

In 2021, I founded the "UZH Alumni Wine Chapter". I am now acting as chair of the club.With this chapter, we regularly organize tastings, excursions and other fun events related to the fascinating topic of wine. With its interdisciplinary profile, the chapter aims to gather a broad community of wine lovers and other curious people of the UZH Alumni community.

Since April 2024, I am responsible for the Zurich branch of the coolest and youngest wine community in Switzerland, the "Weinkollektiv".In my own wine boutique, the WeinHaus, and elsewhere in the Greater Zurich Area, we will be hosting lots of cool events for young and curious wine enthusiasts.

I manage the sustainability program of the offshore sailing team "Oliver Heer Ocean Racing". I also had the privilege of co-founding our company and building it up from scratch. Our team aims to be at the starting line of the Vendée Globe 2024, the most challenging single-handed sailing regatta in the world. With a dynamic team and our skipper Oliver Heer, we will also compete in other relevant races, hold activation events for our partners and be sailing ambassadors for a more sustainable future.Powered by Oliver Heer Ocean Racing AG.

The historic neighborhood "Hirslanden" in Zurich's 7th district is uniquely located, serving as both my home turf for business and my residence.Therefore, I am volunteering as a board member for the neighborhood association, concentrating mainly on promoting and connecting small businesses in Hirslanden, alongside nurturing our vision of a vibrant and dynamic Hirslanden through regular local events and initiatives for the citizens.

Since its legal foundation as a Swiss-based association, I have been on the board of directors of the Open Think Thank Network, acting not only as liaison between the member think tank foraus and the network, but also as member of the strategic body of the association.The Open Think Tank Network (OpenTTN) strives for the creation, development, and cooperation of open-source think tanks around the world. We use innovative crowd-sourcing methods to provide opportunities for participation in political debates outside of the traditional fora. After I stepped down as co-head of the "informal" Open Think Tank Network (OpenTTN), I was involved in the transition phase and the legal foundation process of the legal entity Open Think Tank Association (legal entity of the OpenTTN).

Before the official establishment of the Open Think Tank Network in 2021, I acted as coordinator and co-head of the informal group of grassroots think tanks.

I was a member of the board of foraus. On the board, I was mainly in charge of the organizations' international partnerships, and also involved in the further development of different civic tech tools and the design of new funding models.The think tank foraus advocates for a constructive foreign policy and an informative dialogue: independent, scientific, relevant. Our organization offers more open access to the public discourse, where young talents can contribute their ideas for foreign policy – outside the traditional framework of political parties. foraus publishes scientific-based policy recommendations in the form of discussion papers, policy briefs and blog posts, and organizes high-level debates with the aim of creating innovative solutions for foreign policy.

For several years, I supported foraus as a freelancer and volunteer. During this period, I helped with implementing and developing several projects. First and foremost, I contributed to the internationalization of foraus and acted as the liaison between foraus and its major international partners. During this period, I co-headed the project to establish an international think tank network which later became an official legal entity itself - the Open Think Tank Network (see: my position therein).

As Community Manager at the Zurich office of foraus, I was responsible for connecting the dots between thematic and regional groups as well as between the paid staff and foraus volunteers.

I acted as vice-president of the foundation board and member of the investment committee of the Schweizer KMU Pensionskasse. We are the trustworthy pension fund solution for Swiss SMEs. Before my promotion to act as vice-president of the foundation board, I was board member of the Schweizer KMU Pensionkasse and already part of the organizations' investment committee.

I was a jury member of the CivicChallenge, where I had the pleasure of interacting with a fascinating team in Geneva and my fellow jury colleagues from different sectors and parts of Switzerland. CivicChallenge is an "idea incubator" for innovation projects in the public sector in Switzerland. The members of this jury regularly choose projects which then receive funding, become part of a mentoring program and contribute to a modern, more inclusive form of government.

For 2 years, I was part of the interdisciplinary jury committee of the "World in 2050: The Olympics of Innovation" challenge. The challenge is a yearly global award list of the best startups, research, inventions, and organizations tackling the world's most intractable challenges in seven categories. Each of the seven clusters represents a major trend that will be transformative for our long-term future. The challenge is accompanied by several global innovation summits.

I helped the Youth Café in Kenya to set up some key international partnerships and laid the ground for joint projects with the Swiss think tank foraus. The Youth Cafe works with mostly young people in Kenya and all around Africa to foster community resilience, propose innovative solutions, drive social progress, empower youth and inspire political change.

From 2019 to 2021, I embarked on the journey of setting up the first "AI movement" for Switzerland - the CognitiveValley Foundation. CognitiveValley – the common voice of the Swiss cognitive technology ecosystem! The goal of the organization is to ensure Switzerland’s position as a leading and trustworthy cognitive technology (artificial intelligence) environment in order to ensure sustainable welfare, professional perspectives and global competitiveness for our future generations.Powered by the generous support of the Swiss AI company SwissCognitive.

For a few months, I helped the "X27 movement" to get started, define its mission and build partnerships.As a bottom-up movement, X27 is planning a completely new Swiss National Exhibition ("Landesausstellung") in 2027. This initiative already began 7 years in advance and aims to have an impact beyond 2027. In the next few years, X27 will collect, network and promote future-oriented projects and commitments of all types and forms, whether cultural, social or technical. These contributions come directly from the Swiss population, therefore every engaged citizen is invited to think about their future, to "reclaim" it and to actively help shape it.

While living in New York, I contributed to the establishment of the ForHumanity platform - a unique organization which stands for a trustworthy and value-based artificial intelligence sector.ForHumanity contributors are people from all over the world. Over 230 individuals, from all walks of life, have joined the ForHumanity community to advance the independent auditing of AI systems to help building an infrastructure of trust. They are volunteers who believe in the mission of ForHumanity and are bringing their passion for risk mitigation in autonomous systems to the areas of ethics, bias, privacy, trust, and cybersecurity.

Every 10-14 days, I wrote a column on my (somewhat spectacular) daily life in New York City and the beauty and weirdness of the most fascinating city in the world! All my columns have been published online and in the paper version of the Swiss newspaper "Linth-Zeitung" and have been shared on my personal facebook page as well.

While living in the "Big Apple", I worked for the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York as project manager in the "Department of Economic Affairs & Communication". I was mainly responsible for social media and other forms of digital communications. Furthermore, I was in charge of the organization of several public diplomacy events and I supported other colleagues in our department (as well as the Consul General) with their projects.

I was part of a pilot project of the European Foundation for Democracy. We tracked extremist accounts and their activities, flagged hate speech posts and wrote "extremism reports" on suspicious Twitter accounts.

At the ICRC, I spent my civil service as public communications assistant.I supported the "Public Communications Division" in the development of a new homepage for journalists on dangerous assignments. In addition, I co-designed communication trainings and guidelines for the delegates "in the field". Furthermore, one of my major projects was my role in the organization of the ICRC and IFRC council of delegates meeting in Turkey.

For a period of several years, I was a freelance journalist writing articles on a huge variety of topics. I composed news reports, assembled photo materials and researched background stories for the editorial office of the newspaper Südostschweiz.

As a summer intern in Vienna, I supported the ZDF correspondent office for Southeastern Europe (responsible for 13 countries in the area). I was mainly involved in the background research of topics, in the organization of logistics and was even called upon as interviewer for certain reports.
