The main research areas concern Methods and Tools for the Analysis, Design and Development of Interactive Applications, Intelligent Interfaces, Interfaces for Ubiquitous Applications, MultiModal Interfaces, Accessibility, Usability Engineering and Models for HCI.

Study and Design of system for certification of communication occurs with electronic mail using Digital Signature. The work have produced the description of a specification for a Certified Electronic Mail infrastructure proposed at IETF meeting 83 in Paris for standardization.

Task Leader (10.3 Federated Resources Management)This task develops a set of facilities enabling the effective management of the federated resources, namely computing, tools, data, and services, homogeneously exposed via the mechanisms realized in previous tasks. In particular, the facilities for effective management include: (i) mechanisms enabling the selective allocation of the federated resources to serve the needs of one or more VRE; (ii) facilities for the seamless monitoring of the status of these resources with up to-date indicators on their usage and load; (iii) facilities for the aggregation and presentation of accounting data (possibly exploiting existing solutions for federated environments - e.g. EGI); (iv) transparent management of authentication and authorisation across the resources.
