Squad Leader | It Manager
CurrentRole: As Squad Leader, I lead agile squads (from their formation), in a major US Fast-Food client on their online ordering department of around 200 people from the USA and Brazil. Key results (achieved in ~ 4 months period):• Built an agile squad from scratch;• Broke down an entire year’s worth of backlog for my squad, organized into Sprints with accurate measurements of capacity and velocity;• Kept Planning and Execution of the Squad within 90% predictability, allowing other squads to rely on us for dependencies;• Implemented squad scrum rituals that served as the model for the entire contract, and• Identified knowledge and communication gaps that became action plans which resulted in a 60% decrease in code review comments, thus increasing squad velocity with quality;Main Activities:• Created team onboarding documentation to speed up new member's ramp-up;• Worked as JIRA administrator, managing workflows, projects, and automation;• Proposed additional rituals for Story Refinement and A&D Sessions;• Facilitated Squad scrum ceremonies, and other recurrent/ad-hoc meetings focusing on team collaboration and result achievement;• Enabled delivery transparency and information asymmetry through team metrics reports; • Analyzed data, identified bottlenecks in workflows, and proposed action plans based on the team's efficiency metrics such as Burndown, CFD, Lead Time, Cycle Time, and WIP; • Besides team retrospectives, I enabled other continuous improvements mechanisms like root cause analysis, PDCA cycles, and work environment health check;• Kept close communication and built a solid relationship with the squad, based on transparency and honesty;• Created and maintained client Scrum reports and presentations for weekly/monthly meetings;• Maintained team timesheet and other team financial reports for the client;
