Liquid Propulsion Specialist - Engine Design
CurrentMAIN PROJECTS- Development Model 1 M10 Engine - Development Model 2 M10 Engine- Development Model 3 M10 Engine- Firing test DM1 M10 Engine - Flight Model M10 - DMXSL for IFD1 launcher TASK- Liquid propulsion subsystems design in particular pump fed engines at all development and qualification phases, from preliminary design to production.- To manage and update the engine configuration and layout;- To manage and update the static envelopes for engine components;- To manage and update interface and geometrical requirements engine components.- To generate engine components manufacturing drawings;- To generate, maintain and update engine components 3D CAD (CATIA) models;- To support documentation preparation.- Processes technical documents related to the propulsion areas (technical notes, technical specifications, supporting files, test reports, etc.).- Interfaces with sub-systems engineering to receive data necessary for engine performance prediction activities.TECHNICAL SKILLS- Space propulsion (architectures, systems)- Knowledge of cryogenic liquid propulsion, its basic components and its critical aspects with preference in the development of pump fed engines- Knowledge of ESA systems, subsystems and components development process- Knowledge of Catia V5;- Knowledge of the solid modeling techniques;- Knowledge of the Interface Drawings characteristics;- Design experience matured by participating to the design of complex assemblies, with involvement in all the design phases, from the conceptual studies to the generation of the manufacturing drawings;- Knowledge of SmarTeam/PLM is preferred;- Experience on mechanical modeling;
