Research engineer in hydrogen combustion

A rotating bending test is performed to qualify the fatigue life of mechanical systems subjected to high bending loads. In that purpose, the LaMCube laboratory, involved in the joint laboratory "SwitLab" between academics and railway industries, has designed an original rig.My assignement was to adapt an existing small-scale prototype to a full-scale rig able to reproduce a "reference" test based on industrial standards. It involved : - Designing and instrumenting the rig - Developping experimental procedures- Modeling and digital calculations - Data processing- Communication about the rig

As the use of hydrogen increases, Gas transport companies questioned the relevance of using the existing natural gas transportation grid for hydrogen transport. However, hydrogen can be extremely damaging for material.My project was to provide an experimental process to collect data on the effect of a natural gas and hydrogen blend on the mechanical behavior of steel dedicated to gas transport.- Set experimental settings based on standards.- Confirm settings using finite element calculations.- Design and set up experimental equipment.- Devellop experimental procedure.- Monitor and process tests.

Advanced Nanotechnologies is a start-up working on functional nano coatings for industrial applications.I joined Advanced Nanotechnologies as intern to perform and improve the physical characterisation on newly coated materials.
