I stepped in the role at the beginning of 2021 upon the creation of Velto, I lead the definition and execution of the company’s overall strategy and oversee its daily management. I am chair/board member of most of the Velto's subdidiaries as well as London Array (630 MW operating offshore wind farm in the UK). Velto Renewables is an international investor and long-term owner of renewable energy projects. Established in 2020, the company is a subsidiary of CDPQ, a global investment group.Velto Renewables is committed to helping decarbonize the global economy by investing in and developing an international and multi-technology portfolio of renewable energy projects. We currently own 218 MW of operating solar PV projects in Spain, manage a 25% investment in a 630 MW offshore wind farm in United Kingdom, and are seeking to grow its portfolio by becoming a local player in the countries and regions where we invest. I had the fascinating challenge of, being based in Vacouver, B.C., starting up Sorgent.e Hydro Canada - the sub-holding company for Canada of Sorgent.e Holding with a portfolio of 18 hydropower projects (at different stages of development) for a whole capacity of 170 MW. Sorgent.e Hydro Canada used to develop its activities through the following corporations: Sorgent.e General Services, Clemina Hydro Power, Serpentine Hydro Power, Columbia Mountains Power, English Hydro Power and Fosthall Creek Power. I want to believe that the small team of SHC was able to go from start up to be one of the main players in the development of run-or-river projects in BC.
