Bangkok, Thailand

Managed the weapons permit program coordinating with government agencies creating a new database for tracking permit status. Managed the Leahy Vetting program for the Political Affairs Office which included conducting background investigations on 1500+ foreign nationals who were receiving U.S. government funding for training purposes. I frequently coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Thai Police, and Royal Thai Military on motorcade/ escort procedures as well as weapons accountability protocol. Organized a database of American-owned Multinational Corporations operating in Thailand and coordinated with them regarding various security-related protocol.

Munich Area, Germany

Developed a survey analysis measuring German public opinion towards the United States and Russia based on a number of factors including ethnocentrism and overall perception of migrants. Analyzed specific groups (based on age, political party, etc.) who may be more likely to hold favorable opinions toward either country. Presented the findings via teleconference to the Public Diplomacy section of U.S. Consulate Munich.

Shenyang, Liaoning, China

Managed the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program as well as the program for planning and coordinating the 240th Marines Ball. As a program manager, I planned and executed biweekly functions aimed at enhancing the relationship between the Marines and the Department of State personnel. This position included keeping a detailed accounting log of all transactions and an updated database of all inventory. My primary objective as a Marine Security Guard was to provide armed internal security for the Consulate including the protection of both personnel and classified material. To ensure readiness, I also participated in biweekly training revolutions aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the Marines and personnel in the event of disorder.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Managed four programs simultaneously earning a Certificate of Commendation from the Region 9 Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Frasco. Throughout my tenure in Bridgetown, I managed the Morale, Welfare, Recreation program and the program for planning and executing the 238th Marines Ball. I developed and implemented a marketing strategy ensuring personnel were aware of opportunities available to them. During this time, I generated over $30,000 in funding for the Marines Ball and other recreational activities. In March 2014, I took over as the supply and CBRN program manager (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear). This included accountability and procurement procedures for over $1,000,000 in operational equipment as well as the proper disposal of hazardous materials.

Brussels, Belgium

Managed the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation account as well as planned and executed the 237th Marines Ball. This included raising and accounting for all funds throughout the year by keeping a thorough accounting log of all transactions. I created and implemented a new protocol for tracking and organizing the merchandise offered by the Marine Detachment. As the program manager for the 237th Marines Ball, I acted as liaison between the venue and Embassy security personnel, as well as coordinated all other aspects of the event (marketing, budgeting, guests, gifts). Due to the success of this event, the U.S. Ambassador to Brussels recognized my dedication and accomplishments through a stellar letter of recommendation. My primary mission at the U.S. Embassy and NATO was to provide armed internal security to ensure the safety of diplomatic personnel. Over the course of my tenure in Brussels, I took part in several actual response situations including 2 bomb threats and 2 internal defense protest scenarios. During the first actual bomb response, I took charge of the command post and led the Marines through the proper response procedures.
