Starting in 2004, while working as an Arboriculture intern at the Biltmore Estate, I began to develop a greater love of gardens and landscapes. You can't help but do that when you are working on a property designed by the Fredrick Law Olmstead Firm, Brookline Mass. After that summer I began working as a landscape foreman but soon opened my own business. That was where my education really began. After several years of running my own business I decided that it was more important for me to concentrate on that love of gardening and I accepted a position at the Biltmore Estate as the Rosarian Horticulturist. A new passion emerged for Rose Gardening. I haven't looked back since. I once agin set out from Biltmore, but this time more prepared as I am undertaking my biggest challenge yet at The Cove. The Cove property encompasses 1200 acres of pristine mountain land with multiple eco-systems as well as a new garden and large pastoral landscapes. I am, however, still in the Rose world working with my friend, from the literally the other side of the world, Mike Athy, a superb rose breeder and fellow lover of bees.
