Tasks within the transformation project involved:• New building network design and fibre optic connectivity across the 350 acre site• Cisco and 3Com Switch and Wireless Access point configuration. • I developed and aided in the training of the new SharePoint site. I developed six applications including an automated ICT ticketing system and an Associate Lecturer booking system.• 130 user OnPremise Microsoft Exchange migration to Office 365• Migration of VMWare Windows 2008 R2 Server environments from the old legacy domain to the new corporate domainDaily duties involved maintaining regular backups of the onsite server farm, making configuration changes to the site network and 1st line support to staff. Tasks within this role were to:•Technically advise and develop the new £2.5m simulation suite, using the latest in Unity gaming software delivered to the learner via an immersive 360° projection dome and Oculus Rift goggles. The learners were monitored and assessed by medical grade A/V systems and a unique iPad application.• Configure and administer the whole environment that hosts this equipment which was an air gapped Windows Server 2008 R2 domain on a Cisco Cat6A and wireless network.• Developed a solution that was designed with the use of high grade laptops which allowed for the solution to become mobile to train and demonstrate the capabilities of the new software and immersive VR goggles. The teams objective was to direct and help visitors of London Excel navigate and arrive on time to events that were happening within the arenas.
