He is responsible for developing models, drawings, and instructions for any new process or project that is implemented at the local plant, as well as communicating new ideas and changes to nationally to other locations. To achieve the highest level of success, he must be willing to work in a team of fellow engineers as well as communicate technical ideas to team members in production, sales, and other positions. While the design process strives to create the best ideas, Lucas is responsible for taking the time to consider other important factors such as safety, cost, and ease of use. He works everyday with a variety of fabrication tools such as FDM Printing, Resin Printing, CNC Routing, and for any item that cannot be made in-house, he is responsible for communicating with an outside vendor. Finally, Lucas is responsible for being a team leader to the team members working in production while implementing new process changes while considering feedback to ensure that safety, efficiency, and effectiveness are always the top priorities.
