When I joined this fabless semiconductor company, one of the only 4 GPS manufacturers in the world, I hadn’t imagined that a year later operations would be terminated. However, this unexpected situation gave me the chance to exercise my negotiation skills and to gain exposure to the unique challenges of divestitures.Initially tasked with supply chain management, coordinating manufacturing orders, stock and shipments to customers, I was soon challenged to manage the termination of operations, which involved a delicate balancing act in supplier relations and customer relationship management.
