My role involved:- Creating an LLM-based embedding pipeline to match individuals with ideal roles- Integrating internal Defence data with external sources to provide richer insights- Delivering the solution via the Abiliti App, which supports workforce planning at all levels, from group management to individual career paths.- Runs in an IRAP-assessed cloud environment at the PROTECTED level to meet security standards.Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry: Proactive Detections (04/2024 – 08/2024)CAST developed a proof-of-concept (PoC) to demonstrate how big data and analytics can enhance proactive detection of internal integrity risks. I achieved this using the DataBricks platform and DBT.DataBricks provided the separation of storage and compute to choose cheaper bulk storage while only paying for the processor time needed. DBT provides the database as code to allow for better audibility and management.

Stantec is a global civil engineering consultancy. My role focused on data analysis, data science,and consulting on the same. My principal tool set in this role focused on R, Python, and theirsupporting statistics and ML libraries.Projects• South Australia Water: Fresh Water Demand Forecasting – Delivered the freshwater demandforecasting model for the city of Adelaide. The work included both an initial model and atraining pipeline. This was mostly completed in R.• Australian Defence Estate: Utility Monitoring Dashboard – This project required an ETL process toefficiently aggregate millions of meter records and provide visualisations that allowed facilitymanagers to optimise their utility usage.• Transport for New South Wales: Road Network Plans – Led a team to clean and analyse gigabytes ofsite, traffic, and pedestrian data for the Road Network Plan projects. Client data wasstandardised from from Excel, text, and other formats into a SQL database. The normalised tableswere used for further analysis and visualisation by subject matter experts to support planning.• Parks Alberta: Survey Response Processing – Conducted a Natural Language Processing analysis todiscover the broad interest-groups amongst the respondents, identify which respondents wereusing an answer guide, and validate the survey by showing that the topics of the responsesmatched the topics of the questions.
