KI Industries is a plastic injection molding company that designs and manufactures the molds used in creating knobs and handles for companies such as Kenmore and Whirlpool. They have plants in multiple countries including China, Mexico and U.S.A.My specific responsibilities in the tooling department consisted of fixture design for the assembly of knobs from various parts in manufacturing plants and creation of software to progress through large quantities of data to remove inconsistent, irrelevant information.Specific Duties:-Creation of virtual model for outdated parts-Design and implementation of knob assembly fixtures-Development of quality assurance plan for key design specifications-Management and update of ProductCenter database-Communication across language barrier-Documentation of product changes
