Apprentice civil engineer working on a variety of residential construction projects and a variety of tasks.Involved in all stages of the process, from the design to the development to the building.-Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and fully meet the client brief-Inspecting building works and ensuring that all aspects of design and specification are correctlyimplemented-Conducting site investigations, managing, supervising, and visiting contractors andsubcontractors on site, as well as providing advice on civil engineering concerns-Evaluating the potential risks associated with particular projects and methods, as well asparticipating in risk management in specialist roles-Monitoring the quality of work performed by subcontractors ensuring minimum standards andcompliance with legislative frameworks-Making good any project defects or eventualities that might have an impact on production,quality,or safety standards before the final evaluation and review of the project-Coordinating and reviewing project-related correspondence and incoming/outgoing data, reportsand drawings-Attending project meetings and communicating with all grades of staff, external design team and clients-Liaising with project teams to ascertain project needs and timelines for the same-Preparation of GA coordination drawings in multi-discipline fields including civil, mechanical andelectrical-Producing technical and commercial reports, drawings, specifications, schedules, and otherdocumentation-Managing Change Orders and or refinement of project specifications ensuring that necessaryparties are notified of any modifications made to the project, as well as preparing and checkingreportsProject specification: Residential development in blockwork construction of 15no. houses two storey and bungalow each approx 70m2 in area. Design undertaken in CAD and BIM, site supervision overseen with senior engineer to inspect all construction of main and sub contractors.

The role initially involved shadowing a qualified chartered Civil Engineer to learn and develop practicalskills required to become an engineer, whilst attending University (5 days per week)● Assisted in reviewing design documents, detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates andmonitoring contractor's compliance with projects' scope and standards.● Assisted Project Manager in obtaining state and local statutory documentation.● Execution of projects in CAD and REVIT, focusing on graphic aspects and capabilities.● Conducted on-site construction monitoring.● Production and maintenance of drawing registers and control of drawing revisions.
