About Lucas Powers
I am a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I finished my undergrad degree also in ECE with minors in Computer Science and Music. My thesis research focuses on medical imaging and its incorporation into artificial intelligence and machine learning. I also have interests in control systems, computer architecture, PCB design, and general digital signal and image processing.I was an officer for Sooner Competitive Robotics where I learned to mentor younger students who had little to no experience in robotics or even any engineering. I am a musician have been in many ensembles/groups in my 12+ years of making music. These include jazz, marching, worship, and classical concert bands as well as individual/solo performances. I play the trumpet and piano.Former lead trumpet in the Pride of Oklahoma marching band.
