Ausenco provides Project Management services to coordinate the engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and hand over of the non owner managed sections of the project.

The Cadia East project is based 20km's south-west of Orange, NSW, Australia. Newcrest Mining Limited selected Ausenco to complete detailed design on 4 stages of detailed design for the project. This design work included surface works only with Stage 1 (ball mill and tailings thickener); Stage 2 (secondary crushing and screening); Stage 3 (flotation); Stage 4 (high pressure grinding roll and concentrate pumping).

Located on Sumatra Island, Indonesia, the Martabe plant consists of crushing, grinding, leaching/CIL, carbon regeneration, cyanide detoxification, tailings storage facility, and water polishing to produce a gold/silver product.

The Hidden Valley Gold Project entails the construction of a 4.2 Mtpa gold processing plant in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea, approximately 150km south of Lae, Morobe Province. The expected annual production from the mine is 300,000oz of gold and 4.5Moz of silver per annum.

As part of the university's secondary school scholarship program researchers were required to teach students about the field of electrical engineering. Using their teaching experience, researchers were then required to develop electrical engineering based teaching aids to inspire prospective students.
