About Lucas Romao
🎓 My academic and professional experiences have provided me with a thorough understanding of the urgent challenges posed by climate change, the energy transition, biodiversity loss, and other critical ecological issues.🌱 I am convinced of the urgency to act, both individually and collectively, to respect the planet's boundaries and build a more resilient and sustainable society.💼 I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Yby Dinâmicas, an environmental consultancy specializing in corporate training for the ecological transition. We help both public and private sectors develop practical mitigation and adaptation strategies aligned with the Paris Agreement to drive sustainable change.💻 Currently, I work part-time as a Carbon Expert at Sweep, where I help companies manage their climate journey and reduce emissions across their business and value chains.🔥The rest of the time I am proud to devote myself as a country coordinator in Brazil for Climate Fresk (aka Fresque du Climat), an NGO that aims to raise awareness toward the causes and consequences of Climate Change and its systemic nature.🚀 In this role, I have organized and led numerous online and in-person workshops for NGOs, universities, companies, and specific events. My primary focus is on growing our community, integrating new facilitators, and developing localized strategies to maximize our reach and create lasting impact. Over the past four years, we have engaged nearly 15,000 participants and trained over 500 facilitators across Brazil. 🇧🇷 We also organized the largest Climate Fresk event in Latin America during the G20 Social Summit, called 'ConscientizACAO.' At this event, we facilitated a giant Fresk with over 800 participants, bringing together more than 70 facilitators to gather concrete policy proposals for climate justice. These proposals were then presented to the Brazilian government during the G20.🎯Our goal is to empower vulnerable communities through Climate Fresk, and we are committed to replicating this impactful event on a larger scale in 2025 especially for the COP30.🌎 In addition to my work with Climate Fresk, I am also involved in developing and volunteering other scientific and collaborative workshops, such as Planet Boundaries fresk, 2 Tonnes, C-Roads and End-Roads, or tailor-made dynamics designed to be adaptable, ensuring they resonate effectively with diverse audiences. 👀 Curious to discover our workshops and offers?
