• Training under the guidance of Dr. Philipp Mews in the Nestler Neuroscience Lab where I research the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms of cocaine addiction in mouse models.• Assist in neurosurgical procedures, trained to perform intracranial delivery of viral vectors in mice, and isolated reward-related brain regions such as the nucleus accumbens (NAc).• Lab skills learned: standard laboratory techniques (e.g. micropipetting), ultracentrifugation, nuclei preparation from fresh and frozen tissue, Western blotting, and FACS. • Computational skills learned: proficient in R using Bioconductor packages, RRHO2 analysis, ShinyGO, Metascape analysis, visualization using BioRender.

• Developed futuristic card game entitled, “Crisis on Cardea” to educate players about the medical and emergency professionals who helped us during the pandemic.• Successfully funded on Kickstarter in October 2021 after 18 months of development. Total amount raised was $21,176 - tripling goal of $7,000.• Featured on three industry-leading board game podcasts.

• Accepted to highly selective science program (<10% acceptance rate).• Research Concentration: Used wet lab techniques and modeling software to study an enzyme from a fungal pathogen (F. Oxysporum) and designed a small molecule inhibitor to protect crops from that fungus.• Engaged in research-related activities for 300 hours over five weeks.

• Conducted independent research exploring different analogs of psilocin using AutoDock Vina, under the guidance of Dr. Nicole Snyder at Davidson College.• Title of Paper: Exploring the viability of different chemical analogs of psilocin that target the 5-HT2A receptor to treat depression using AutoDock Vina.• Final paper received A+ (top in program) and winner of the Regeneron STS Scholar award.

• Researched and wrote paper on biochemical efficacy of esketamine for treatment-resistant depression under the guidance of David Broussault, PhD at Cambridge University.• Title of Paper: A promising remedy for treatment resistant depression? Exploring esketamine, from production to use.• Final paper received A (top in program) and was recommended for submission to the Journal of Psychopharmacology by journal editor Kenji Hashimoto, PhD.• Paper featured in Léman High School’s first Science Journal.
