A challenging and exciting role working and developing relationships with business owners from other real estate groups, boutique and independent offices and showing them the benefits of being with McGrath Estate Agents. The role saw the engagement and new offices in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Bundaberg, Bargara with Maryborough, Mackay, Cairns and Grafton imminent.

I was responsible for all of the sales and marketing for the 1.6-billion-dollar Jewel Residences, a Chinese owned project on the Gold Coast. Jewel had three luxury towers, 512 apartments, was on 132m of absolute beachfront and included a five-star hotel. My marketing budget was just shy of 19 million dollars and I facilitated sales events in Canne, Moscow, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, London, Mallorca, Auckland as well as domestically.

Full management of the sales team in a fast paced, high energy, inner city real estate market was as much of a challenge as it was fun. Hiring, firing, training and retaining in a “culture by design not by default” environment took us from 27th to the number seven Ray White office in Queensland and our team grew from six agents to 35.

A boutique office located in an affluent area on the Gold Coast with a variety of different nationalities in the office and in the marketplace. Communication was the key to ensuring our vendors and buyers received a premium service. Training on a daily basis and developing the right people made this business a success over two different real estate franchises.

Harcourts was the fastest growing real estate franchise at a national level for almost a decade and my role was to coach the top 30 offices in Queensland. These offices were located from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and Toowoomba to Mackay. This was an extremely autonomous role that enabled me to not only work with each of the business owners but individual salespeople and support people to maximise individuals potential which then maximised the businesses potential.
