Here I am responsible for maintaining the entire maintenance department and its staff. Utility Systems Engineer/Assistant Maintenance Manager• Responsible for assisting in managing 23 employees on a 2 shift production schedule• Ensure that production needs are met in regards to staffing, ordering parts, maintaining a team, coverage’s for vacation, leaves of absence, call ins, hiring, terminating, and any other staffing situations. • Maintain all plant utilities and facilities including 3 natural gas boilers, 3 plant air compressors, several evaporators, 6 ammonia compressors, and all associated parts, pumps, valves, vessels, PSM/RMP program, and dealing with the EPA and OSHA regarding plant and government policies . • I assist in dealing daily with outside contractors and venders from small projects within the plant to capital projects preparing for expansions. • Experience in 5S, lean manufacturing, LOTO, confined space, PPE, and Gmp’s.• Assist in holding bi-weekly update meetings with the VP of operations, EHS, and production managers as well as monthly meetings with the maintenance crew to go over safety concerns, plant updates, schedule changes, part requests, and any additional information that needs to be addressed.• Assist in coming up with and staying on track with plant department budgets and expressing any concerns in relation to them

Fill-in Maintenance Supervisor• Work directly with Siemens staff and contractors in all aspects of a 40-million-dollar consolidation project including capital projects, new equipment, creating SOP’s, delegating responsibilities, and staying on top of current everyday tasks. • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot 4 Fire Tube natural gas fired boilers for steam production, building heat and HVAC, and to maintain strict RH and temperature-controlled plant areas for production• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot 3 Frick Ammonia compressors and 3 York chillers for dehumidification and temperature-controlled production areas and all associated equipment for this process as well as walk in coolers, freezers, and cold storage rooms• Maintain all building utilities including steam, water, compressed air, natural gas, condensate and all associated utilities as well as outside facilities, buildings and grounds• Operate and maintain an RO skid for boiler feed water, walk in coolers RH, and Lab processes• Responsible for maintaining all RH and temp controlled storage areas throughout the entire plant

I was responsible for all the utilities supplied to the campus and surrounding buildings. These utilities included high pressure steam, water and power. I operated 7 Natural gas boilers, 2 gas turbines, 2-1 megawatt generators and 2-4 megawatt generators.
