Role transitioned into an on-site process and best-practice subject matter expert. Traveled to Lockheed sites to provide education, awareness, new employee training, and relationship management across all business areas and programs. Achieved Six Sigma Black Belt and Master's Degree in Enterprise Information Management. Managed and facilitated large-scale enterprise-level projects involving freight payment, supply chain security, and transportation metrics and modal-shift analysis. Became lead of Supply Chain Security Council, responsible for enterprise approach to programs like C-TPAT and AEO. Created centralized and coordinated working group to manage Supply Chain Security for Tier 3 C-TPAT importer. Gained exposure and learned negotiation positioning and enterprise approach to transportation contracts including operational and strategic platforms. Starting from tracking and routing shipments to managing project freight, over-dimensional and hazardous shipments, over-seeing critical and high-visibility moves for all modes. Customer was a fortune top 20 business in multiple industries. Developed new-employee training program and provided orientation to all new logistics hires. Cross-functional support across all departments for routing, planning, and managing high-volume orders. Eventual growth to technology: Implemented transportation management system including testing, tweaking, and back-end system data management. Experience with big-data including reporting engines such as Cognos and Crystal Reports. In 2005 moved to Orlando to support Lockheed Martin as a subcontractor. Implemented corporate-wide freight payment solution and standardized processes and metrics across 45 sites. Developed and distributed transportation metrics still in use today. Learned subcontract management skills including negotiations, contract management and execution, legal T&Cs and items such as liability, indemnification, and cargo insurance. Recognized as subject matter expert for transportation and freight payment best-practices across enterprise.
