- Hired multiple engineering managers to take on engineering teams that needed to grow- Pioneered the partnership with Shopify to build a network of carrier integrations in Europe; integrated 10+ new carriers into the Shippo network- Accelerated carrier integrations at Shippo by leading the development of a new carrier integration framework that reduced Shippo carrier integration cost by a factor of 4.

- Conceptualized and redesigned Shippo back-end system that calculates shipping rates based on package and address information, leading to more than 20x response time improvement while also reducing issues and maintenance costs of this system- Reduced back-end system bottleneck by implementing database persistence layer for high volume data ingestion from ecommerce channel store integrations- Overhauled storage of 3rd party API credentials improving Shippo’s security posture- Upgraded Shippo’s front-end infrastructure by migrating from EmberJS to ReactJS, which increased front-end development quality and productivity- Revitalized Shippo’s package tracking data quality by introducing more granular tracking information which increased adoption for Shippo’s tracking service

- Led a team of about 5 people which worked on building integrations with shipping carriers and ecommerce platforms (like Shopify, WooCommerce).- Launched upgraded integrations for Shippo’s key carriers (UPS and FedEx), which retained key customers and revenue.- Conceived a new testing framework for Shippo’s APIs which decreased production bug regressions, increasing customer confidence and engineering team deployment velocity- Strengthened the relationship with the company’s 2nd largest partner by integrating a new carrier (DPD Germany) with high quality- As part of this role, besides leading the team, I was responsible for developing system architecture, writing code, reviewing code, and releasing code to production systems hosted in AWS.- I also conducted technical interviews, participated in reviews of SQL database schema and query changes.

- Overhauled the core carrier integration architecture which solved several problems, most notably: Database scalability, inefficient processing of external requests, lack of validation and clear error messages. In addition to that increased developer velocity when writing carrier integrations.- Pioneered the direct integration with the United States Postal Service (USPS) which allowed Shippo to decrease dependency on 3rd parties for this component. This new integration also increased our system uptime and improved performance.

I worked developing the communication between a mobile app written in JavaScript with AngularJS and a REST backend. I also worked developing the backend which is written in Python using the framework Django. All the code is versioned using Git.

Develop Java web applications using Spring MVC framework and Primefaces. Also develop some custom component behaviour with JavaScript and jQuery and database handling using JPA on Oracle Database.

Worked in the devolpment of the part of the game that deals with the dialogs. The programming language used was ActionScript 3 together with Robotlegs framework.

Design and code web-pages using Java and Google Web Toolkit. Implement communication with Google Appengine’s database and some event handling using Javascript. Worked with Git and Maven.

Worked on website development using PHP with Symfony2 and Silex frameworks. One of the projects was to create a CMS to manage restaurants pages using HelloFood's (www.hellofood.com.br) restaurants database.

College Research Project: Development of a tool to access a SVN repository, fetch the software’s code and calculate software metrics over time. Tool developed using Java, data base store using PostgreSQL and SVN access using SVNKit.

Designed a website using Drupal CMS. Made a few visual changes using CSS. Integrated Drupal plug-ins for menus and forms into the website.
