"Amduat. A Play Machine" is a playable experience companion piece to Hotel Pro Forma's production "Amduat. An Oxygen Machine," based on Harald Voetmann's book by the same name. The game is to be released online in April 2020.As part of a six-person team, my role as the narrative designer was to transform the innumerable appearances of the original Egyptian funerary text about the Amduat myth into a short, enjoyable (and understandable) videogame, introducing players to the complicated intricacies of the Egyptian mythology that is the undercurrent of Voetmann's book and Hotel Pro Forma's performance.
