I played a fundamental role in leading (4 teams) the development of the first data cloud project at one of the world's largest insurance companies (belonging to a major Brazilian bank). The initial focus was to meet the requirements of the Open Insurance Phase 2 regulatory project and enable analytical environments.Role as an architect:Architecture and enablement of the project's data tools in Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, AKS), integrating with the insurer's source bases such as SAP BW, Mainframe, Data Power, OPIN Platform, APIs, and other services.Participation in the data and integration team, working on architecture and enablement of Data Mesh with Databricks and Unity Catalog in Azure for analytical environments.Architecture and enablement of Confluent Kafka for an event-driven architecture, facilitating integration between Databricks, microservices, and CDC.Definition of CI/CD flows with Azure DevOps for regulatory and analytics (DataOps).Working with IaC (Terraform) to define the data environment provisioning automations.Role as a lead data engineer:Leading the team towards common objectives and adopting best practices, such as for batch and streaming data processing with Spark in the Lakehouse (Databricks).Creating data chassis to facilitate team deliveries.Identifying and addressing critical points in data processes.Standardizing the data catalog (governance).Responsible for reducing more than 60% of Storage and Databricks costs, optimizing data flows, and adopting best practices.Integrating data from all the insurer's clients and policies for regulatory compliance.Structuring data analysis.The deliveries and know-how of this project were crucial for the evolution of the insurer's cloud data journey. Experience in Big Data Projects at Ame Digital: Developing, leading, and implementing solutions in data analysis and engineering following agile methodologies.
