I am a designer in Azure Data (Power BI), where we are building the data platform for the age of AI. Check out my main projects below:- I design generative AI tools to summarize and explain data. These tools unlock new possibilities for users with different data literacy skills to participate in decision-making with data. I led the 0 to 1 design of our Narrative with Copilot features launched at MSFT Build '23 and Ignite '23. There are more LLM features to come.- I designed the 0 to 1 TMDL View feature, integrating Tabular Modeling Definition Language (TMDL) into Power BI, offering a seamless "Semantic Modeling as Code" experience for BI professionals. Focus on efficiency, automation, flexibility, and reproducibility for data experts.- Led discovery and design of a new (0 to 1) Metrics layer solution that helps orgs to quickly publish standardized metrics. Trusted creators can promote metrics, include descriptions, dimensions, and other metadata to help business users discover metrics and understand how they should be interpreted and reused. Announced at MSFT FabCon '24.

Teaching Design for Behavior Change in the Human Centered Design and Engineering Master's program.Co-taught with Associate Professor Gary Hsieh.

Led design and evaluation of two new (0 to 1) products: Health Check and Envelopes. Designed and usability tested 2 new Online Banking features (Cash Advance and Profile). Led discovery and redesign of Online Banking navigation (tree jack, card sorting, analytics, design sprints). Drastically improved org-wide consistency by creating and maintaining design and accessibility patterns on Figma (scrum master & top contributor, facilitating the work of 8 designers). Led 4 designers in the evaluation and testing of a new font stack.

Designed and evaluated an app with accurate data on how specific substances can impact a patient's pregnancy. Moderated 20 RITE-style usability sessions; presented findings to medical experts; continuously iterated on the app design.

Worked with startup co-founders to productize value propositions into a Sketch+Principle prototype, used in successful funding-seeking pitches.

Collaborated with a Product Manager to establish UX metrics and development processes around metrics. Followed Google’s HEART framework.

I deployed diaries and surveys to investigate the practices and needs of members of groups related to chronic health conditions. I also retrieved and analyzed SQL log data. This project generated foundational insights to shape product and marketing roadmaps.

I interviewed advertisers who used advanced targeting tools, recommending ways to automate specific marketing processes.

Designed marketing tools such as email and landing page creators. Ran interviews to find issues in launching email campaigns. Designed Business Intelligence dashboards for pro accounts. Contributed directly in code.

Designed education, fitness, and real estate apps. Conducted Market research, created mock-ups, and worked with engineers to ship web and mobile apps.

Illustrated, designed, and programmed ActionScript learning objects for customers such as Pfizer and John Deere. Mentored entry-level designers.
