I am responsible for the direct onsite management of the daily operations of the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, ENT and Allergy ambulatory clinics. I partner with key leaders across UCM and BSD departments in decision making and ensure a bidirectional flow of information. I promote excellence in all areas of ambulatory operations and serve as the champion for continued process improvement work. I am dedicated and focused on the patient and family experience, quality and safety, coordination of care across the continuum, use of technological tools and solutions including EPIC, metrics reporting, customer service, and oversee the budget, billing and related revenue cycle services for the three ambulatory clinics.

I establish and oversee MPact’s capital and operational budgets. I work to create a value-based care program focused on clinical quality and integration by building highly effective committees and subcommittees of physicians involved in quality improvement and technology development. I provide support to the Quality Improvement Committee and Human Resources Committees and their physician leaders. I work to ensure the development of the MPact Chapters, help develop agendas with the physician Chapter Chairs, and provide reports to the Chapter from MPact leadership. I also actively recruit independent physicians into the CIN. I provide support to physician leaders in improving all aspects related to performance outcomes for the enterprise—progressing toward top decile performance in quality, safety and stakeholder satisfaction and lower quartile performance in cost. I work alongside our physicians, administrators, and front-line caregivers in understanding, prioritizing and deploying best practice performance improvement methodologies to assure top performance outcomes. I work with our IT leaders within MPact and its owners (Members) to leverage technology to create a better care delivery system. I work to leverage the purchasing power of the combined entity along with that of the national organization (SRHO) to create cost savings for MPact’s owners and affiliates.

I maintain client relationships and credibility through ongoing engagement and support while tracking white space to support opportunities. I also maintain pipeline and contribute to opportunity forecast for my assigned territory of California and Arizona. I support sales events, including proposal creation, demonstrations and reference visits and create sales orders and review for accuracy based upon client requests, solution requirements, and pre-negotiated terms. Lastly, I manage a pipeline and forecast in order to drive sales opportunities to closure against a sales quota.

I apply Cerner’s consulting methodology and guide continued client optimization while articulating and consulting on entire Emergency Medicine service lines/departure workflows, including all associated roles and operational/process metrics. I articulate regulatory impact on the Emergency Medicine service line/department. I ensure business needs are understood and Cerner’s information technology strategies are enhancing client objectives. I take pride in establishing trusted relationships with all levels and service lines/department inside the client organization(s) and within Cerner project team. I work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures. I understand my personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets. I take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of role. I also facilitate current state, future state and gap analysis.

I triage patients that enter the Emergency Department. I take 9-1-1 calls and dispatch ambulances and helicopters. I assist nurses and physicians with hospital to hospital transfers. I enter all laboratory and radiology orders. I also assist physicians and nurses in any other ways needed.

I work directly with the President of William Woods University. I collaborate with our Board of Trustees, Executive Cabinet, Vice Presidents, major donors, alumni, and faculty and staff. I build and maintain relationships with our Board of Trustees and large donors. I assist in strategic planning for the University and university development. I provide assistance and creative thinking in University campaigns and fundraisers. I have assisted with exchange agreements between William Woods University and universities in Ecuador, South America. I am the adviser for President's Twenty and University Ambassadors, two student organizations on campus that are highly selective and truly are the image of William Wood University. I attend all official convocations of the University.
