As a mechanical engineering intern at AyrKing, I filled several needs for the company. Some of my responsibilities included making Solidworks parts, assemblies, and drawings for AyrKing products, reorganizing the warehouse to make room for a fabrication shop, and designing and prototyping new products for the company.

As a tooling engineer for the Precision RF (Radio Frequency) department, I was in charge of converting tools that were inherited from the purchase of another company from the old company's system to Samtec's system. This included making models and drawings of around 300 parts in Solidworks, laser-engraving the tools, and updating the instructions for the tools with the new Samtec part numbers. Also during my time there, I designed a tool to assist operators in assembling products.

As a tooling engineer intern, I responded to issues that operators had with the tools on the production line by making modifications or by designing new tools to be implemented. These modifications and designs were made in SolidWorks, in which I created parts, assemblies, and drawings that were sent to internal and external customers for order. I was also involved in updating the process instructions for over 50 part numbers, as well as writing a work instruction about how to use a laser machine to etch QR codes on tools for serialization.

As a self-employed landscaper, I sought out customers who needed their yard work done for them due to immobility or old age. I did any kind of yard work that needed to be done, including but not limited to mowing the lawn, using a string trimmer, pulling weeds, removing bushes and other plants from the landscape, and mulching.
