• Funding: I wrote dozens of proposals for R&D projects and a fair percentage of them got funded. • Research & research management: I worked on 15+ large international and cross-disciplinary research projects, often in managerial positions (principal investigator, innovation and exploitation manager, and work package leader) and/or being in charge of financial aspects (budgeting and financial control).• Publishing: I regularly publish for high-impact journals, mostly across disciplines such as management studies (e.g., Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Knowledge Management, Technovation, Management Decision, R&D Management Journal, Futures, Journal of Futures Studies) and design research (e.g., CoDesign, Visual Studies, The Design Journal, Design Management Journal). • Academic leadership: I contributed to shaping a successful master’s programme and growing an academic lab (up to 18 members); I have experience in supervising PhD students (2 completed, 4 ongoing), post-doc researchers (3) and research assistants (10+).• Teaching: I have 20+ years of experience in lecturing & supervising in areas such as design strategy, foresight, service design, interaction design, design entrepreneurship and design management – mostly through engaging and hands-on formats (in person and online). I was selected as a Teacher of the Year at Aalborg University.

I grew Logic Moon from a one-person company to an award-winning multinational design organization with branches across three continents. As founder and/or member of the managing board, I was instrumental in launching 7 design-driven companies, with annual turnovers ranging up to €30 million. One company was backed by investment funds, one was successfully crowdfunded, another one was sold.

Appointed as an independent expert to assist EC services with the evaluation of proposals received under several Work Programmes and as a consultant to help to define funding schemes.

As a certified yoga instructor (RYT-500), I offer experiential sessions that anchor breath-based movement to creativity and that leverage science-based insights on mindfulness.

I worked with an international team based in India and Washington to define an operational and business model for a broad-based decentralized leadership programme targeted toward water agencies in India and various African countries.

I taught classes and ran workshops on design management and business aspects of design.

I provided guest lectures and carried out research on design-driven innovation.

As a metaLAB fellow, I contributed to two initiatives at the Harvard Berkman Center (http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/):- a study on the characteristics of innovation spaces in Boston- some co-design workshops for a joint symposium with UNICEF

I led an ethnographic study on some organizational dimensions of academic labs and how they use design to further their entrepreneurial orientation.
