As a member of the Hicks & Associates team I provided technical and manufacturing consulting for patents, and design clients. In addition I managed the IT network and infrastructure for 13 employees over 3 locations. I Coordinated with clients and patent agents to provide input for worldwide patent applications and as a results of my effective knowledge and input was listed as inventor on 2 Canadian patent applications in oil & gas and medical patents. I specialized in the creation of patent drawings and collaborated with clients to provide improvements for manufacturability, reliability, and COGS.

Rundle Sport is an athlete driven company and Canada's only roller ski manufacturer. We design and assemble a patented suspension roller ski in the niche ski industry to provide athletes with the best training equipment. My role was to initiate and develop all aspects of Rundle Sport product line from engineering, analysis, marketing, and sales. Since its inception I have grown Rundle Sport to a company of 5 members with a mature and unique product line of over 10 products. Rundle Sport is a profitable organization with an average annual growth of 200% over the past 4 years.

Tangent Design Engineering provides a full house of product design and simulation services. As a member of the team I have worked on product design, assembly, and testing within food processing, military, oil & gas, exploration, and automotive industries. At Tangent, I worked closely with electrical, industrial and mechanical engineers to develop alpha and beta products as well as transition products to mass production. I worked heavily in SolidWorks to provide complex part and assembly design while focusing on design for assembly and manufacturing in mind. I leveraged my analysis skills to provide FEA and CFD studies for various part and assembly review. With a wide range of manufacturing process experience I provided cost effective, aesthetic and timely designs for the clients needs.

Contract mechanical design for over 25 clients and 90 unique projects. Contracted to lead the mechanical design on various assemblies in the 'ENCL' (enclosure) a large assembly within the Narrow Field Infrared Adaptive Optics System (NFIRAOS) a Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) project. Leveraging SolidWorks I designed various static and mechanical assemblies for tolerance sensitive parts and assemblies subjected to-30 °C and ISO-9 clean-room requirements. I developed a file structure system for all documentation related to the project that eventually was adopted by the company as a whole including drawing templates and reports. I was responsible for the review of all previously designed parts and assemblies for DFM and DFA considerations. I drafted multistage fabrication drawings for various hatching systems, cooling systems, and mechanical latches and carried out calculations on parts and assemblies for static loading, thermal expansion, and heat transfer. Additionally I worked closely with vendors, and other contractor to create DFMEA and design reports for the National Research Council (NRC)

A team Collaboration between Rocky Mountain Bicycles funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). This project was a continuation of our capstone project where we designed an 'on the fly' geometry adjustment system for a mountain bicycle. The system allowed the user to toggle the bike between a climbing efficient mode and an improved descending mode. The system adjusted both the geometry and suspension curve of the bicycle. I lead the design using SolidWorks as well as the fabrication of the parts using MasterCam on a Haas UMC-750

Worked as a member of Mobile Maintenance engineering team to improve safety and mine equipment efficiency.
