My role has been to support the IT department with financial tracking for IT spending for 22 properties in 8 states as well as the corporate office.Key areas of focus and responsibility• Budget By Director – Slice and Dice Budget and Actual Expense tracking from one IT cost center to separate cost centers for each of the directors. Created new reporting for directors and managers to help track line item expenses.• Month End Close – Review the IT General Ledger, initiate accounting adjustments, prepare accruals and provide backup to accounting.• Accounting Cleanup – General Ledger review from 2013 forward and initiated any needed adjustments• Amortization – Review all IT subscription and maintenance expenses and prepare amortization schedules• Office 365 Power BI / PowerView – Design reports that can be shared with management and give real time information on Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Payments. JRK Hotel Group is an owner/operator of five boutique hotels. The role with the company has been to assist senior management. Key skill set is the ability to automate reports, and develop new reports that are more detailed, accurate, and distributed on a more consistent basis. Key areas of focus and responsibility• Daily Reports – Hotel occupancy and revenue trends, Key Performance Indicators (KPI)• Budgeting – build and manage budget workbooks and work with hotels on annual budgets • Revenue Management – build and maintain financial models that are used to forecast room revenue• Support Sales and Marketing – reporting on accounts, room types, day of week production, market segments• Accounting –Automate Income Journal & Payroll files processing, saving hours of manual input. • Payroll – utilized canned reports from ADP to create detailed departmental reports• Property Management Takeover – Quickly implement operational reporting• Hotel Underwriting – Financial Modeling used to evaluate and forecast the NOI of potential acquisitions• Sales Tax Reporting – File and submit City and State Sales Tax payments and returns.• Self Storage – took over and revamped property reporting, Occupancy / Effective rents, Renewal Rates, New Customer Pricing, and Budgeting process.• Food and Beverage – Work with Food and Beverage Staff on reporting sales by meal period

The role has been to evaluate the business operations, and to assist the executive management team restructure and lead the company successfully through bankruptcy. Accomplishments during the tenure include: reduced overall inventory levels by 30%, revitalized the manufacturing production from 25% to 55% of the overall sales mix, and increased the profitability of the sales floor by increasing inventory turnover. Key areas of focus and responsibility• Analysis – Published a Daily Report that showed sales performance by District. Analyze break-even points at different sales and profitability levels.
