IT Technologist | Former Marine Engineer | Passionate about IT Systems and Simulation Technology for Mission-Critical Operations I bring over seven years of hands-on engineering and technical experience, first as a marine engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces and now as an IT Technologist with General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada. I support the Maritime Helicopter Training Suite (MHTS) for the Department of National Defence, ensuring operational readiness and reliability for pilots, tactical coordinators, operators, and maintenance personnel.In my role, I specialize in:- Advanced IT troubleshooting and diagnostics: Managing installations, power-up checks, system validations, and in-situ technical support for training systems.- System maintenance and upgrades: Performing routine maintenance, backups, and hardware/software upgrades to keep the MHTS operating smoothly.- Network infrastructure management: Skilled in Linux, Windows OS, TCP/IP protocols, and RAID systems, as well as network hardware like switches and routers.Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science through Athabasca University, I'm committed to expanding my IT and software development skills.
