About Luca Soppelsa

Luca Soppelsa is prokurist and head of risk management at FS Impact Finance (FSIF). Since 2021, he also works on the development of new products and innovative financing mechanisms in different SDG-related areas. In addition, Luca is the Managing Director of FS Financial Services Caucasus, a subsidiary of FSIF specialized in providing financial, environmental and social monitoring and reporting services to asset managers investing in Micro and SME finance. Finally, since 2023, Luca sits on the Board of the JuST Sustainability Transition Institute.Before joining FS Impact Finance, Luca gathered a multifaceted finance expertise by working for ten years on international, multi-stakeholder projects in the audit, banking and green finance sectors. Since 2013, the focus of his day-to-day work has been on emerging and developing markets. Luca holds a Master in International Economics and Business (Globalisation and Development) from Utrecht University and a Master in Management from the University of Trento. He is a Certified Risk Manager and Renewable Energy Finance Expert by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Luca is an amateur triathlete and Ironman. In 2023, he participated in the Ironman 140.6 World Championship.Specialties: leadership, risk management, asset management, impact investing, alternative investments.
