Heart2Heart Canadian Youth Society is a charity organization founded during 2006 and focuses on providing basic education to underprivileged children in rural parts of China. The organization has donated over CA$450,000 to humanitarian efforts in rural China, particularly in the province of Guizhou. The Heart2Heart Annual Banquet in Vancouver is now the largest student-run charity event in Vancouver and has attracted the attendance of business leaders, politicians, and celebrities such as 刘耕宏 (Will Liu), 吴宗宪(Mr. Jacky Wu), 林俊杰 (JJ Lin), 飞儿乐团 (F.I.R), 平安 (Anson Ping), and 张韶涵 (Angela Zhang). Led the charity as President during the 2011-2012 term. Successfully organized and executed many fundraisers throughout the year, including the 6th Annual Banquet that raised over $80,000 CAD for school projects in Guiyang, China, and multiple fundraisers across 8 public and private high schools in Vancouver. Global China Connection is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering deep and trusting personal relationships among Chinese and non-Chinese university students. The organization has 60+ chapters worldwide. Currently I am serving as Senior Vice President, advising the Network Division and spearheading organization-wide initiatives. www.gccglobal.orgVice President of Network (Central Management) July 2014 - August 2015 Served as Vice President of Network for Global China Connection Central Management, managing 60+ GCC university chapters around the world. Main duties include maintaining communication with local chapters, leading expansion efforts in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific, initiating cross-chapter events, and advising the annual GCC conference team on conference planning matters. Chapter Co-Founder and Co-President (New York University) September 2012 - December 2013 Founded Global China Connection chapter at New York University (GCC NYU) to provide students of the NYU community with more opportunities to engage with China and its affairs. As Founder and Co-President, my duties included managing personnel, spearheading event initiatives, overseeing internal and external operations, and directing general and executive meetings.
