Retail Food Group (RFG) is an ASX listed global food and beverage company headquartered in Queensland. It is Australia's largest multi-brand retail food franchise owner and a roaster and supplier of high-quality coffee products. Brands RFG operate includes Gloria Jean's Coffee, Donut King, Brumby's Bakery and Crust Gourmet Pizzas. From 2018, RFG underwent significant restructuring and turnaround, and completed an equity raising and debt restructure recapitalisation in late 2019. As Group Reporting Manager, I was reponsible for providing detailed reporting and analysis to Senior Management, the Board of Directors and key lenders and preparing related investor presentations and financial modelling.My role included preparation of monthly management and bank reports, consolidation of audited annual financial statements and investor presentations and detailed store, brand and divisional analysis across a wide range of entities and various ERPs as required by the executive leadership.

INC is a large network of churches, colleges, community development organisations and child care centres operating around Australia and internationally.With over 170 locations and revenue over $100 million, I was responsible for consolidating the audited financial statements for the complex group and to improve the financial reporting and control environment.I was a key accounting resource to our group's locations, advising on reporting and tax issues and performing internal audits and advising the executive on the group's risks and controls. With responsibilities for the Head Office finance functions, I was actively managing the accounts receivable, payroll and insurance responsibilities.

CTW is an expanding US-owned garment manufacturer based in Cambodia, with annual sales over $30 million and over 1,400 workers. CTW operates tight margins for its hundreds of SKUs, and as CFO I was reponsible for providing the directors timely and accurate reporting to improve decision making. I was a hands-on CFO, climbing over piles of fabric to complete stocktakes and on the factory floor reviewing the costing of new and existing product lines. I actively managed the relationship between CTW and its financial auditors, bankers, local suppliers and government officials. I led the finance, purchasing and procurement departments through challenges including a significant upgrade to the Microsoft Dynamics ERP and two large audits by the Cambodian tax and customs departments.

DFAT is the lead agency to manage Australia's presence overseas and to advance Australia’s national interest. With almost 100 overseas posts, DFAT manages a budget of over $1bn.DFAT's significant mission and activities required its officers to be flexible and responsive to emerging events. I performed internal audits of a South Asian embassy and Pacific Island high commission and joined the crisis response team following the Arab Spring, Fukoshima tsunami and Wellington earthquake. As Asset Accountant, I reconciled DFAT’s complex asset register totalling over $150 million, including coordinating the stocktake and asset revaluation process across DFATs overseas posts and prepared the asset reporting notes in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. I was also the key resource to accounting staff around the world managing the SAP ERP.My role required me to travel with and prepare advice for the Australian foreign and trade ministers and review the budgets of Australian Ambassadors and High Commissioners posted around the world.

In 2008, the World Bank and AusAID awarded RNK a $6 million grant to expand RNK’s content and capacity.As Finance Officer, I prepared RNK for the implementation of the World Bank’s new funding by training local staff in finance and procurement policies and processes, and implemented RNK’s first ever budget and procurement plan and successfully negotiated budget increases from the World Bank and Ministry of Interior.
